Our lingerie is designed to minimise the most common sources of irritation. Natural, breathable fibres are usually best. Organic cotton is soft, breathable and absorbs moisture well, with a low friction and irritation risk. Silk is very smooth, light and cool, and handles light moisture well, so it is especially comfortable in friction or sweat prone areas, which is why we use a pure silk lining in our bra cups and a silk gusset in our briefs. Synthetic heavy blends offer stretch but can trap heat and moisture against the skin, which some sensitive skin wearers find less comfortable.

Yes. Our designs are tag free with no stitched labels, use smooth enclosed French seams to reduce rough edges, and have soft cotton wrapped straps and bands. This makes them a good option for anyone sensitive to tags, seams, textures or pressure, including people with sensory or tactile sensitivity.

Allergy UK is the leading national charity for people living with allergy. Its product endorsement, first established in 1995 and recognised by consumers in more than 130 countries, is awarded only after independent scientific testing at an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, using protocols developed by scientists and allergy specialists and followed by expert clinical review. The endorsement is renewed every year, so a product has to keep meeting the standard to keep it. Yes. JulieMay carries the National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) Seal of Recognition, an independent US accreditation awarded to products created to be gentle and safe for people living with psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and severely sensitive skin. The Seal of Recognition is awarded by the National Psoriasis Foundation, the leading US nonprofit for psoriatic disease. To earn it, a manufacturer submits independently tested scientific data showing the product is gentle, unlikely to cause a reaction and safe; the product is then reviewed by a panel of certified dermatology and rheumatology doctors, and only products that pass are eligible. For fabrics, the NPF looks for recognised textile safety certification, or equivalent evidence, that the material has been tested and passed for harmful substances.
